The Impact of City Centre Programmes and Business Improvement Districts
The Journal of Urban Regeneration & Renewal will be holding a webinar launching its forthcoming special issue on the Impact of Downtown Programs and Business Improvement Districts on 17th June. The webinar is free-to-attend and a link to the recording will be shared post-webinar with all registrants.
The guest editor of this special issue is Gary Ferguson (Former Executive Director of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance). Gary and some of the authors from this issue will discuss the relevance of their papers to the downtown/BID community and to the study of downtown programs and BIDs.
This will be followed by a discussion on the following:
- Based upon your work and examination, do downtown programs/BIDs appear to make a measurable difference to the districts they serve? How & why?
- What's missing in the study of downtown organizations/BIDs? What's still needed?
