Special issue themes - seeking guest-editors and authors

The Editor, Editorial Board and Publishers of Journal of Urban Regeneration & Renewal are currently seeking guest-editors and authors to contribute to the following special issues of the journal.  Guest-editors should be Editorial Board members and/or previously-published authors in the journal.

  • Urban regeneration and renewal amidst polycrisis and geoeconomic and geopolitical disruption
  • Urban regeneration since Brexit and in an uncertain world economic context
  • Urban regeneration and private housing, student housing and office development in city centres
  • Regenerating large local authority housing estates
  • Suburban space and regeneration globally
  • The Green Belt and ‘Grey Belt’: The role of urban footprints and accessible green space internationally
  • Discretionary versus zoning systems in urban planning
  • National urban regeneration policy in Europe
  • ‘Global North’ versus ‘Global South’: ‘Lessons learned’ and knowledge sharing
